Day Ride – Forestry Trunk Road – North to Nordegg Junction

Took advantage of the great weather and went on a blast north on the forestry trunk road. Surprisingly with such great weather there wasn’t a sole around. I pretty much had the road to myself the whole afternoon.

Day Ride – Powerface Trail, Kananaskis, Spray Lakes, Canmore

Finally had decent weather and some time off again. I wanted to get some more practise on backroads and gravel.
Not a bad day. Much of the route I’ve been on before in the truck or car. A bit cooler in Kananaskis and it even, gasp, started to snow at higher altitudes.

KLR’s First Service, Fixed Throttle and the $50.00 Piece of Gravel

After screwing about for an hour with cables, adjustments and trying to get the throttle to work properly I took the bike in for an inspection. I honestly thought I’d exhausted all the possibilities. The cables looked fine, nothing was pinching or bent, the throttle return and assembly seemed fine. Hmmm… Couldn’t see any reason…

Final Bits and Pieces

Nearly all the accessories for the KLR are ready to go now. The last pieces are the Trax side panniers/luggage and SW Motech EVO side racks. Those are on the way and should arrive in about 8-10 days.
